We get our word “sin” from the Greek word hamartia which means “missing the mark.” This study (Hamartiology) concerns itself with understanding the origin, nature, extent, and consequences of sin. This study seeks to understand how sin is transmitted throughout the human race and how our Lord’s redemptive work can set men free from sin.
